The workshop is suitable for the beginners and those new to landscape photography. Below are some of the topics we will work on during the workshop. Finding a composition. Thought process before taking an image. How to make a compelling image by combining light, composition and technique. Using filters. Using slow shutter speeds for long exposures. Focusing techniques including manual focus. Controlling the camera in manual mode. Participants should bring plenty of morning snacks/breakfast as local facilities will not be open at the time of our arrival. We will break for lunch at The Berkley Arms pub in Bosham. http://www.berkeleyarmsbosham.co.uk (not included in the price of this event). The area near the harbour is a mixture of beaches and muddy footpaths. We will be aiming to be there for high tide when many of the paths flood. Wellington boots are recommended. Whilst the majority of the terrain is flat the foreshore can become slippery when wet. There will be some walking across uneven ground during the day. Expect to cover around 5 miles throughout this workshop. Please bring / wear: Snacks and hot drinks Loose change for car parks and public toilets Camera, charged batteries, memory card Tripod 6- and 10-stop neutral density filters (if you have them) Graduated neutral density filters (if you have them) Warm and waterproof clothing suitable for the weather, location and time of year Walking boots Torch / headtorch
